Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This policy explains what personal data eBid.com collects, why, and what rights you have. The data controller is Realtime Comms Ltd, registered in the United Kingdom. Contact: support@realtimecomms.co.uk.
What we collect
- Account data: name, email address and password hash when you register.
- Marketplace data: campaigns, listings, funding requests, payout requests and the bank details you provide for payouts.
- Traffic data: when an ad is served or clicked we process the visitor's IP address and browser user agent to validate the click. IP addresses are stored only as salted one-way hashes used for fraud prevention; we cannot recover the original address from them.
- Correspondence: emails you send us.
Why we process it
- To operate the marketplace and your account (performance of a contract).
- To validate clicks and prevent fraud (legitimate interest shared by advertisers and publishers).
- To settle payments by bank transfer (performance of a contract and legal obligations).
- To send transactional email such as funding confirmations and payout notices (performance of a contract). We do not send marketing email without consent.
Visitors to sites showing eBid ads
The eBid ad unit does not use cookies, does not build advertising profiles and does not track visitors across sites. When an ad is requested or clicked we process the IP address and user agent transiently for click validation, storing only a salted hash. Ad selection is based on the site being visited, never on the visitor.
Sharing
We use a small number of processors to run the service: hosting infrastructure, our email delivery provider (Resend) and our banking provider (Revolut) for settlement. We do not sell personal data. Advertisers see aggregate performance figures, never visitor-level data. Publishers see aggregate earnings figures.
Retention
Account and settlement records are kept while your account is open and for six years after closure to meet accounting obligations. Click validation hashes are kept for up to 24 months for fraud analysis, then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). Write to support@realtimecomms.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
Changes
We will announce material changes to this policy by email to registered users.
